Florida Highway Patrol asking for public's help after hit-and-run collision

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Florida Highway Patrol officials are asking for the public's help after a hit-and-run crash Sunday afternoon.

They said the crash happened at Mary Esther Cutoff and Page Bacon Road in Okaloosa County.

According to officials, a Chevrolet Sonic was southbound in the outside lane on Mary Esther Cutoff when a white, newer-style pickup truck was headed east on Page Bacon Road.

They said the pickup entered the intersection, colliding with the right side of the Chevrolet Sonic and left the scene.

FHP officials said no witnesses stopped. The two people inside the car that was hit were reportedly uninjured.

FHP is requesting assistance with anyone who saw the crash and can identify the white pickup by any markings or a tag number by calling 850-484-5000.
