PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - According to Bay County Battalion Fire Chief Darrel Wise, a fire in Panama City Beach Tuesday originated from the lint compartment of a commercial clothes dryer in the laundry room of a warehouse owned by Pineapple Willy's and Wicked Wheel restaurants.

Bay County and Panama City Beach fire crews responded to the scene at around 1:30 p.m. Nobody was inside the warehouse at the time.

Fire officials are encouraging residents to clean the lint traps in their home laundry machines to avoid incidents like this from happening.
