Lifeguards back on duty

SOUTH WALTON, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The sun is shining and the weather is warming up, which means beach season is back.

Thursday marked the first day of the tourist season and South Walton Lifeguards are stationed at their posts.

From now until the end of September, lifeguards will be at 14 tower station along the 26 miles of Walton County beach monitoring and protecting the waters.
