Man charged in fatal Panama City Beach crash

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A man is facing charges after a fatal crash early Sunday morning.

Sunday around 3:26 a.m., Panama City Beach police officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Back Beach Road and Highway 79. They say a grey Honda with heavy rear damage was at the intersection. They say they pulled Kimberly Mason from a vehicle and attempted life-saving but Mason died at the scene.

Police say they found a Dodge Ram truck in the parking lot of the Express Lane store at the intersection driven by Guillermo Lopez.

Investigators say Mason's Honda was stopped at a red light. They say Lopez didn't stop and rammed into the back of the Honda with his Dodge.

Lopez is facing multiple charges including DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide.
