Man killed while setting up arrow board for crash on I-10

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - One person is dead after a crash in Okaloosa County on Interstate 10 near mile marker 46.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports Friday morning a Freightliner semi-truck was travel west in the outside lane on I-10. Troopers say the semi came upon a crash from earlier that was blocking the outside lane.

Troopers report the semi driver lost control of the vehicle and it began to slide on the wet pavement. They say the semi hit an arrow board being set up by Harley Wolfe-Davidson Schrank, 24, and Timothy Earl Smith, 19.

Troopers report Schrank died from his injuries at the scene and Smith was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
