BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - UPDATE 9:30 p.m.
The man injured in Friday afternoon's crash has been identified as 57-year-old Tom Vasiliades.
According to Florida Highway Patrol officials, Vasiliades was heading east on Steelfield Road when he drove onto the shoulder.
They say when Vasiliades tried to get back on the road his tires caught loose soil and caused his vehicle to roll over and hit a utility pole.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
All lanes are blocked on Steelfield Road in Bay County after a crash.
According to Florida Highway Patrol Troopers, a car hit a power pole on Steelfield Road around 4:30 Friday afternoon. Troopers say a man is being taken to a local hospital with serious to life-threatening injuries
Authorities say the driver over-corrected after swerving which caused the vehicle to roll over and hit a telephone pole.
Troopers ask that you use caution in the area.
