Good Monday morning everyone!
It's a quiet start on VIPIR7 Doppler Radar this morning with clear skies overhead.
But it was frigid start, literally freezing away from the coast this morning. We had a frost advisory in place, and you may have had a good coat of frost on your car windshield or on the rooftop and grass. Temperatures inland were below freezing while most on the coast were above freezing in the mid 30s or low 40s.
Winds will shift to the west southwest today and that little switch will help push in a more mild afternoon! We'll have highs today reach the low to mid 60s!
The mild push today however comes ahead of another approaching cold front. Lows tonight will not be as cold with most dropping into the 40s. The next front will pass through dry tomorrow, but winds will still shift back to the north and that will bring back another shot of cold air.
While we may still reach the 60s tomorrow afternoon the colder more dense air takes a little longer to move in and doesn't arrive until Tuesday night into Wednesday. Lows will return to the 30s and highs Wednesday remain in the 50s.
It's a short lived cold shot, we'll be back in the 60s to finish out the work week.
For today, abundant sunshine with more mild conditions after a frosty start, highs today will be in the low to mid 60s. Your VIPIR 7 Day Forecast will feature a more seasonal week with a short live cold shot on Wednesday.
