WALTON COUNTyY Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Dune Allen, Miramar Beach and Seagrove Beach will all soon have new regional beach accesses.
Earlier this year, Walton County bought several pieces of beach front land and now they are working to transform them into community space.
Walton County Beach Management officials said permitting for Dune Allen should be done by summer this year, while the other two are still in the design and permitting process.
"Each one will be a new regional beach access with restrooms, parking, ADA access boardwalk. Other amenities, rinse shower, bike racks of sort," Walton County Beach Operations Director, Brian Kellenberger said.
A public workshop for the Miramar Beach location is scheduled for February 15th for the public to give input on the design.
Officials said they hope to have all three open to the public by 2019.
