Quick and easy broccoli salad recipe

Chef Emmitt Taylor from Bay Medical Sacred Heart visited the NewsChannel 7 Studio to give us some tips on healthy and safe foods to pack for school lunches.

Broccoli Salad
Ingredients:
2.5lb Fresh Broccoli
.5 Bacon Bits
1.5c Mayonnaise
1.5c. Ranch Dressing
1 cup Cheddar
1 cup Tomatoes
1 cup Red Onions
.75c Raisins
.25 Sugar
TT Salt and Pepper

DIRECTIONS:
Rough and chop broccoli
Dice onion and tomato
Chop bacon
Combine mayo, ranch, sugar, salt and pepper for dressing.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.

Tip: You can omit the bacon and substitute walnuts or pecans for a vegetarian treat.
