Teacher accused of keeping a drug house resigns

BAY COUNTY, Fla (WJHG/WECP) - A Bay County teacher accused of maintaining a drug house has resigned from her position.

Bay District Schools officials tell us Kenya Williams, who taught first grade at Breakfast Point Academy, resigned from her position citing personal reasons.

Williams was arrested earlier this month after Bay County Sheriff's Deputies say she allowed people to come into her home and use drugs. Deputies say she told them it was normal for people she knew and didn't know to "hang out" at her home.

During the investigation, deputies say they found meth in Williams' room and more drugs in the backyard. Investigators say Williams told them she uses meth daily.
