Good Tuesday morning everyone!
It's a quiet morning on VIPIR 7 Doppler Radar this morning despite the clouds cruising overhead.
But fog will be the biggest concern across the whole Panhandle this morning. A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for all of NWFL until 9am CST. However, it's likely the fog will hang on the coast a lot longer into the day. Be sure to give yourself extra time out the door to take it slow on the foggy morning commute.
Temperatures this morning are once again very mild and quite muggy and wet feeling with most in the mid to upper 60s. A light southerly breeze is still in place and that's allowed the relatively warm and moist air to pass over cooler Gulf waters creating the fog.
We're in a similar set up to what we had yesterday with high pressure to our southeast pumping in the mild and muggy conditions into a frontal boundary draped over the Northern Gulf Coast. However, we're not too concerned with any rain today as the lift along the front will be focused more over Alabama and Mississippi, only a stray small shower will try to pop up today.
Better rain chances will come on Wednesday, but it's still not looking like a knockout for everyone to see rain as this system finally gets kicked out to the east.
We'll have another shot at rain heading into the upcoming weekend, where it looks as though we'll get a big cool down just in time for Christmas.
For today, mainly cloudy with foggy conditions likely to linger on the coast throughout the day. Highs today will be in the mid 70s. Your VIPIR 7 Day forecast will keep us mild through the rest of the work week.
