Good Tuesday morning everyone!
It's a quiet start on VIPIR 7 Doppler radar for a change! But we did have a mostly cloudy start.
Temperatures were very pleasant in the 60s near sunrise, and we still have a light breeze, no where near yesterday's however.
Your Morning Commute will be fairly easy going as we'll start to see some sunshine returning by 9am. Clouds will continue to decrease to mostly sunny skies today and that sunshine will help warm up our temperatures from the chilly fall like day we had yesterday.
Highs today will warm up to the low 80s, still a seasonally cool day for this time of year.
Irma is no longer a tropical system and is forecast to continue to slowly move northwest over the next couple days. As Irma pulls out of the Southeast, however, we may see a tail end of this system drag in a few scattered showers for tomorrow morning as our next chance for rain.
Tropical Update...Cat1 Hurricane Jose is move east in the Atlantic today. However, high pressure building back into the Northern Atlantic will push Jose more to the south over the next two days before then redirecting it on a more westerly track. It may come close to the Bahamas on this looping motion, but long term modelling keeps this system off shore at this point turning it back into the Northern Atlantic after possibly brushing the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Another tropical wave moving west over the open waters of the Atlantic Basin has a low to medium chance for development over the next couple days. The next name on the list is Lee.
For today, skies turning mostly sunny, slightly breezy, with highs near 80 and still feeling less humid.
Your VIPIR 7 Day forecast will keep us with small chances for some scattered shower activity over the next several days with otherwise mostly to partly sunny skies.
