UPDATE: Swimmer identified in Tuesday's death investigation

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Panama City Beach Police say the swimmer who died near Panama City Beach's city pier Tuesday afternoon has been identified as 64-year-old Terry Littles of Indiana.

Police say the man swam out about 200 yards to get a float that had drifted from a group of kids when witnesses saw him struggling and called 911.

Police say right now it's unclear if the man drowned or if he had a medical issue.

Yellow flags were flying at the time of the incident.
