Woman taken to hospital after car went into water

SOUTHPORT, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Panama City woman was taken to the hospital after her car was submerged in water late Wednesday night in Southport.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Marsha Stevens, 54, was driving near the Donald Penny Boat Ramp off of Highway 2302.

They say she was disoriented about where she was and didn't realize that she was driving down the ramp. She wasn't bale to stop when water completely filled her car.

Firefighters were able to pull Stevens out. She was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries, as a precaution. Charges are pending.
