MARIANNA, Fla (WJHG/WECP) - It was a very big Monday for Marianna star student athlete Cameron Gray.
Gray's been the ace pitcher for the Bulldogs over the past two seasons.
The big lefty18-3 in those two years, with 200 strikeouts in 150 innings pitched, an ERA of 1.12!
Cameron talking Monday on the advantage of the early signing period in advance of his senior season with the Dog's, signing a scholarship with the University of South Florida baseball program.
One coming off a 42-19 season, and a trip to the NCAA regionals.
"I picked USF because they made me feel like family, for one," Cameron Gray, Marianna senior baseball player said. "And I felt comfortable with the recruiter because he recruited me for Jacksonville University. And we just made that bond. And then I went on my official visit and other visits. Just felt at home, the players welcomed me."
Cameron saying he's hoping to lead the Bulldogs to the state title in 2018, made it to the region finals last year.
