Pride of the Panhandle gathers for memorial ceremony

They held a moment of silence for 49 seconds in honor of the Orlando nightclub shooting victims.

LBGTQ activists say Governor Rick Scott broke his promise to do more to protect against discrimination after the Pulse night club shootings. One year later there are still no additional employment or housing protections for LGBTQ individuals.

The road connects the Colony Club neighborhood to the Back Beach Road and Nautilus Street intersection.

Several free events are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
