Rosenwald High School celebrates Class of 2020
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG) -
Rosenwald’s Class of 2020 parade rode through Panama City Friday for their senior parade.
Decked out with signs and balloons, seniors enjoyed their day out in the sun to celebrate graduation.
The school normally has a Senior Recognition Day, but because of COVID-19, this year’s seniors missed out. Instead, they were treated to a parade, cookout and a DJ right at Rosenwald.
”Because it was June 19. I felt it was a very good time to celebrate Juneteenth as well because we know Rosenwald is a historically black school. We have a diverse population now, and we love all our babies. And our babies needed to be recognized,” said organizer Ella Pinckney.
A photographer was also at the event to capture the seniors’ last moments on campus together.
