PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG) - The second day of the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic weigh-ins were Saturday.

Wes Long, an angler, on captain Jeff Shoultz “Mollie” hauled in a huge blue weighing in at 660.4 pounds. It held on to the number one spot, and is worth $664,000.

Coming in second is Mike Morette, an angler off of the “Panhandler” with a 601.4 pound blue.

Coming in third, is Charlie Thomas, an angler off of "Fin's Up" with a 553 pound marlin.

However, the biggest marlin weighed was 668 pounds, but when Blake Applewhite, an angler off of the “Liquid Apple,” was reeling it in, the line caught the blue’s tail and the fish died in the water and could not be properly reeled in. The team then disqualified themselves, and during the courtesy weigh-in they found out it would’ve taken the number one spot.
