HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A woman and a child were seriously injured after a vehicle hit a school bus Tuesday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol Troopers say it happened on State Road 2 near Copperhead Lane.

Troopers say Holmes County school bus was stopped to pick up students on State Road 2 when a vehicle driven by a 42-year-old Westville woman hit the back of the bus. Troopers say the bus had its stop signals on at the time of the crash.

The driver of the vehicle and a 6-year-old girl were seriously injured in the crash, but a 13-year-old boy in the same vehicle was not hurt, according to troopers. They say none of the students on the bus were hurt and the bus driver received minor injuries.
