A local cheer team is asking for the community’s help in getting them to nationals this year. Some guests joined us at the station live with more details.

The Lynn Haven Raider Cheerleaders recently qualified for the Quest Recreational Championship at Wide World of Sports Complex, an event the team’s coach, Heather Vickers, calls the most competitive and prestigious end-of-season event for Rec & Youth Cheer. However, the team is in need of some help to get there in the form of donations and sponsors.

The team will be hosting a fundraiser night at the Slim Chickens in Lynn Haven this Friday, April 9, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Anyone in the public is invited to come show their support.

The competition is set for April 16 through April 17.
