JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Miami man was arrested Thursday after an incident at a local rest area in Jackson County.

The Florida Highway Patrol says troopers responded to the eastbound rest area on Interstate 10 near mile marker 133 at about 6:05 p.m. after receiving a call from a detective in Miami. The detective told troopers that a female victim had been traveling from Texas when she was followed by a male suspect, identified as Corrada Dairon, 30, that she currently held a protection order against.

Troopers say as she stopped at the rest area for a restroom break, the victim returned to her car to find Dairon sitting inside. That was when she was able to get in touch with the detective from Miami.

FHP officials say that Dairon was arrested without incident following confirmation of the protection order. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail for violation of a protection order and stalking.
