PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A local non-profit has been helping all kinds of animals, but now they need your help.

Heartland Rescue Ranch is $23,000 in debt, from vet bills alone.

Founder Amy Shepherd says she wants to continue to help more animals, but the ranch will have to cut back on operations if they can’t cover expenses.

Shepherd says they will be accepting any kinds of donations for the animals like Parvo or DHPP vaccines, cat or dog food, bedding, or money.

”We have about an 85-animal sanctuary, and those are animals that have come in and for whatever reason have not been adopted or at this point can’t be adopted. We have to continue to pay for them. And if this keeps going on, I can’t keep it up, it is so hard,” Shepherd said.

If you would like to donate, you can drop it off or send it to Heartland Recuse Ranch.

You can click here for their Facebook page, and click here for their website.

You can also call them at (850) 960-4543
