PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -Former Rutherford baseball coach Jamie Bukowski has found a new coaching gig. It’s at Vernon High School. Vernon announcing Tuesday night it has hired Bukowski as the Yellow Jackets next head baseball coach.

Jamie resigned from Rutherford earlier this month, he told us at that time he was not going to leave the area, and this obviously what he meant by that. Bukowski spent two seasons with the Rams, one of those lost to the pandemic, the second season the team 6-16.

Rutherford seeing seriously declining numbers the past few years.

Vernon coached by Gerald Tranquille last season, the school’s head football coach, who while trying to do double duty, led the team to an 8-14 mark.
