WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A man wanted for allegedly kidnapping and robbing a man in Washington state was caught in Washington County Wednesday morning.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies say they were told by the United States Marshal Service that Michael Jennings, 52, was at a home in Washington County.

Jennings and four other people are accused of kidnapping a man from a Boulevard Park home and robbing him on May 2nd. Authorities say the victim was tied up and locked in his own car trunk. Investigators say the suspects drove the victim to a nearby gas station where the victim was able to escape.

Deputies and members of USMS Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force say they started watching the area of where they believed Jennings was. They say early Wednesday morning, they raided a home on Cutchins Mill Road.

Authorities say initial contact was made at the home with Jennings’ wife, but she would not cooperate. Task Force members entered the home and found Jennings hiding in a rear bedroom.

He is facing multiple charges, including kidnapping and robbery in the 1st degree.
