Panhandle Pioneer Settlement bringing history to the present day

BLOUNTSTOWN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Visitors are welcomed to take a step back in time at the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement in Blountstown.

The Settlement is based on the early 1900′s and features many historical buildings like a school, doctor’s office, and barbershop.

On Saturday, July 31st, organizers are hosting Keepers of the Old Way Survival Expo at The Settlement. It will be from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, children 12 and under are free.

At the event, visitors can get in on the action of cheese making, soap making, campfire cooking, and many other activities.
