PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a silver Subaru was traveling south on US-331 and was entering an intersection with a flashing amber traffic signal.

Troopers say a marked Walton County Sheriff’s Office Patrol vehicle was traveling west on Marquis Way.

According to troopers, the Deputy failed to yield the right of way at an intersection with a flashing red traffic signal.

FHP said the Subaru traveled south through the intersection at US-331 and Marquis Way, the patrol vehicle entered the intersection in a westerly direction, resulting in the front of the patrol vehicle colliding with the left side of the Subaru.

According to Troopers upon impact, the Subaru rotated counter-clockwise and so did the patrol vehicle. Which blocked both southbound travel lanes.

Troopers say none of the involved parties required transport for medical treatment.
