LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Lynn Haven residents that are served by the city well water system are still under a precautionary boil water advisory.

As a precaution, the city advises that all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled. a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient, according to city officials.

Residents can also use bottled water as an alternative.

City officials say that the boil water advisory will remain in effect until the bacteriological samples confirm the water is safe to drink.

”We have taken 24 samples, starting last week. We’ve had three come back with indications there could be something in the water. So we’re extending the boil water notice until we get consecutive day samples in,” Greg Kidwell, City of Lynn Haven Director of Public Utilities.

Kidwell says he hopes the notice can be lifted come Tuesday.

He would like to also reassure residents that the city is doing everything to get this issue resolved.
