PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -Rutherford’s baseball program has its next head coach in place, Patrick Coffin.

Coach Coffin spent this past season as an assistant with the Rams, so he’s familiar with the players, and they with him.

He takes over for Jamie Bukowski, who left after two seasons to become Vernon’s head coach.

Coffin is a native of Rockledge, in Brevard County, near Cocoa Beach. He pitched at Alabama State. After graduating took an assistant’s job with Rocklege, then jumped to the Junior College level as an assistant with Eastern State College.

The coach saying, “I’d like to thank Mr. Pilson and Coach Harrell for this opportunity. I’m excited to get to work with this group of student-athletes. We’ve built a great bond over the past year and I’m ready to get started as the leader of the baseball program. Go Rams!”
