PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -On to the track and it’s a big weekend ahead of racing set for the North Florida Motorplex on the very northeast side of Bay County. The track is getting set to host three days of racing, actually with the weekend getting a start on Friday. The Motorplex will be hosting bracket racing for locals and out of town racers alike, with five thousand dollar first place prizes in those bracket races. But the weekend is much more, the folks at the track tell us, than that, after all it’s Halloween racing!

”Saturday’s the big day,” says track spokesman Josh Peake “Saturday is the the day that everybody doesn’t want to miss. That’s going to be our day that we do our Jet Cars, the fireworks, the Pro-Mods, the SNRA Nitrous Pro Mods are going to be here on Saturday. Of course we’re going to have racing Friday, Saturday and Sunday, a lot of things going on. We’re going to do costume contests, and giveaways and trick or treating and all the things.”

Televisions are set up in the VIP areas for those wanting to watch their favorite college football teams play Saturday. The weather is expected to be perfect for racing all weekend long.
