Tropical Storm Edouard likely to form in the Gulf
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -
A low-pressure system, just off the coast of Louisianna continues to organize. Development chances continue to increase, as Tropical Depression Five meanders in the Gulf, producing winds of up to 35 mph and slowly moving to the Northwest at 5 mph. Strengthening is expected, and tropical storm watches and warnings are likely to be issued along the Texas and Louisianna Gulf coasts. If this trend continues, our next named storm, Edouard, is on the horizon. No impacts on the Panhandle are expected.
