‘Heartbreaking loss’: Father, daughter killed in rollover UTV crash after eating lunch with family
AITKIN COUNTY, Minn. (KBJR/Gray News) - A Minnesota father and daughter were killed in a rollover UTV crash after eating lunch with family, according to authorities.
Authorities said the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday in Macville Township, about a half-hour north of Aitkin.
Jacob Jeurissen, 48, and Kiara, 18, were riding on the same side-by-side UTV when it rolled multiple times. Both suffered serious head injuries and died at the scene.

Aitkin County Sheriff Daniel Guida said the 911 call reporting the crash came from family members who had been riding behind them after the group finished lunch.
Authorities said speed may have been a factor in the crash.
Amanda Jeurissen of Big Lake, Jacob’s wife and Kiara’s mother, told Northern News Now that Jacob and Kiara will be missed by many.
“They were both so well loved and are going to be incredibly missed by so many,” Amanda Jeurissen said.
A family friend created a GoFundMe to support Amanda Jeurissen and the family following the deaths.
“The Jeurissen family is facing a heartbreaking loss after Amanda’s husband, Jake, and daughter, Kiara, passed away,” the organizer said. “This fundraiser is being organized to support Amanda and the Jeurissen family as they carry the devastation and emptiness of losing them both.”
