Olivia Michael is the 5:30 p.m. evening news anchor for CBS Local 18 News.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Olivia is excited to call the Panhandle home. She is a graduate from The College of New Jersey where she studied business and communications. She joins WJHG/WECP from CNBC's "Squawk Box" where she was a news associate and contributed to CNBC digital. Prior to that, her internships included CNN, MSNBC and the TODAY show. Being half Cuban, she is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
While in school, Olivia anchored and reported for The College of New Jersey's television station, Lions TV. She was a sister of Delta Zeta, a peer mentor, and studied abroad in Seville, Spain. Outside of school, she devoted her time to the Miss America Organization speaking to groups throughout the state and volunteering at local children's hospitals, winning the 2014 Children's Miracle Maker Award.
