Paris Janos has lived in Bay County since his family moved here from Cleveland, Ohio, to run a small motel on Thomas Drive. He attended several Bay District Schools and graduated from Bay High School in 1975. Following high school, he attended and graduated from the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida.
In 1979, Paris was hired at NewsChannel 7 WJHG as the art director, a position he held for more than 30 years. During his tenure at the television station, he performed just about every other job behind the camera, but always with an eye to working in front of the camera. He began his on-air career about 25 years ago and continues today. He is NewsChannel 7's community correspondent and he co-anchors NewsChannel 7 Today with Jessica Foster and the 11am news with Donna Bell. Paris has received numerous awards, such as the Florida Highway Patrol Media Safety Award, A.C.U.R.E.'s Media Award, and the President's Award from the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Paris has a life-long love for surfing and for the martial arts. He is a sixth-degree black belt in Okinawan Karate and has operated his own martial arts school in Panama City for 32 years. He lives in Lynn Haven with his wife, Nancy and son, Nikko.
