Krewe de Yak of Walton County gets ready for Mardi Gras Festival

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG) - One county is ready to let the good times roll. Some guests joined us in the studio to tell you how you can join in on their mardi gras celebration.

The Krewe de Yak of Walton County is celebrating their tenth anniversary by pulling out all the stops. Their Mardi Gras Festival will be on February 9th.

It will begin with the street fair and Car Show at 11 a.m. Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs will be filled with food and merchandise booths of all kinds, while the Cruise-In Car Show will feature cars vying for titles in three different categories. The event is fun for all ages and will continue until 4 p.m.

Then at 3 p.m., the beads will fly as the annual Mardi Gras parade rolls. Krewes and local groups will Circle beautiful Lake DeFuniak in celebration of the season.
