30A beach communities make changes in response to COVID-19

Alys Beach and the Watercolor Inn announced closures due to the coronavirus outbreak on Tuesday.

Alys Beach announced the following amenities will cease operation for a minimum of two weeks:

-Caliza Restaurant

-Caliza Pool will close at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 and will remain closed until further notice.

-NEAT Bottle Shop and Tasting Room is closed for a minimum of thirty days.

-ZUMA Wellness Center, including basketball and tennis courts

-Piper’s Kitchen

-Beach Service

-Alys Shoppe will close at end of business today until further notice.

-The Alys Beach Bike Shop

-Beach Service and Recreation activities

According to the website, Alys Beach Real Estate Sales and vacation rentals will remain open.

Spring events and programming, including Digital Graffiti, have been suspended or postponed. Alys Beach will also have a 10 p.m. curfew.

Digital Graffiti has been rescheduled to October 2-3, 2020.

The Watercolor Inn announced the following closures due to COVID-19 until at least March 31:

-InnSpa

-WaterColor WorkOut Facility

-Camp WaterColor

-WaterColor Beach Club

According to the website, beach access and restrooms will remain open.

Here is a list of the following adjustments made as of March 17:

-FOOW remains open for food service. The FOOWbar will be closed for the next 30 days. Parties will be limited to 10 or less, and seating capacity will be restricted to 120 people.

-The Gathering Spot remains open for food service. Bar service will not be available for the next 30 days. Parties will be limited to 10 or less, and seating capacity will be restricted to 30 people.

-Florida SweetTea Style remains open but will be restricting its capacity to 10 total people in-store at a time. Additionally, try-ons will not be permitted. All sales final.

In addition, the Merchants of Rosemary Beach announced via Facebook the suspension of events through March 31st. This includes: Spring It On Concert Series, Magic in the Air, Kids Theater, Moonlight & Movies and Face Painting, Tie Dye, Wacky Hair and Kids Karaoke.

The Hub 30A also announced via Facebook, scheduled events through March 31 will be suspended. This includes the live music, DJ dance party and family movie nights. Restaurants and bars will remain open for outside dining in small numbers and to go orders.
