FSU Panama City celebrates a week of Sensations

PANAMA CITY, Fl. (WJHG/WECP) - At the start of every school year new students to a campus struggle to get familiar with their new surroundings.

The FSU Panama City student government tries to alleviate those problems with a week long series of fun events to get the students and faculty to interact.

Every day this week students can participate in a different event designed to help them become familiar with the campus and their instructors.

Monday's activities started with an all-day game of Pokemon Go. For those not so inclined there were some inside games like miniature bean bag toss, four square, and other table games.

They also got to enjoy a sweet treat with FSU Panama City's new Interim Dean Randy Hanna, and other administrators, faculty, and staff in the Holley Center rotunda. It was a chance for the students to meet the dean one on one.

"What a great time this is, the opening week of school. Students are here, there's a lot of activity in the air, folks are excited, faculty is excited, glad to have the students back, so it's a great day," said Dean Hanna.

The student events will continue through Thursday ending with a breakfast at the Holley Center.
