PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Gulf Coast State College is offering free dental care for those in need of services.
All fees are being waived for patients receiving dental hygiene treatment this spring semester. It also gives second-year dental hygiene students the opportunity to meet program and accreditation standards in order to graduate.
The free services include medical dental history assessment, vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature), dental examination, consultations, referrals, radiographic images, periodontal evaluations, fillings, dietary/nutritional counseling, oral hygiene instructions, patient education, sealant application, restorative procedures (amalgam, composite, glass ionomer), desensitizing procedures, dental disease, and risk assessments. If there happens to be a procedure the clinic cannot perform, a patient referral to another dental office will be provided.
