UPDATE 11/20/2019 5:52 p.m.:

The advisory has been rescinded.

-----------------------------------------------

A portion of North Bay in Lynn Haven is under an advisory after 5,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled into it.

The city reported the sewage was released into North Bay due to equipment failure after a lift station at 1200 Missouri Avenue lost power.

The Florida Department of Health in Bay County says not to swim in North Bay from Lynn Haven Bayou at A.L. Kinsual Park to the north, West 10th Street to the south, and the entrance to Upper Goose Bayou to the west.

For more information, contact the DOH-Bay’s Environmental Health at 850-481-4806.
