African American Cultural Center reopens at new location

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The African American Cultural Center is reopening at a new location.

Friday the A.D. Harris Learning Village opened up and introduced the new location and welcome the community.

The exhibit features local artifacts, as well as local artists and the Buffalo Soldier

Officials said they had to move due to needed repairs on the old building.

The also sid the new location will open up more opportunities for an interactive learning experience.

"It's a way to capture history, it's a way to experience history and it's just a way to learn what was done prior to you coming on earth," Downtown North CRA Manager, Tony Shamplain said.

The center will be open to the public based off appointments.
