An Alford man has been arrested for theft.

According to a press release from Jackson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a call in reference to a theft in the area of Alford. Deputies say the victim saw a man leave the property pulling a trailer containing multiple stolen items from the victim’s residence. The victim was able to get pictures of the suspect and his vehicle.

Members of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division were able to recover the stolen items.

The suspect has been identified as 40-year-old Justin Michael Nix. Nix was arrested on Wednesday, March 26 by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office for an outstanding warrant he had in Bay County.

Investigators with Jackson County Sheriff’s Office conducted an interview with him. Nix admitted to his involvement with the theft case from Alford.

Nix is charged with Grand Theft (Warrant).
