This week's 850Strong Student of the Week is Alidiea Odom.
She is a senior at Mosley High School and is the captain of the girls weightlifting team.
Alidiea was also the first senior at Mosley High School to swear into the U.S. Navy.
Since her enlistment, she joined the delayed entry program for navy recruiting. There she worked as the chief fitness leader and led nine future sailors to the total loss of 117 pounds.
"It really kind of started as one girl came up to me after we did our PT run, and she asked me if I would work out with her because she was underweight actually, so she wanted tips on how to gain weight and so I helped her and I guess it kind of took off from there," said Alidiea.
Alidiea's leadership and hard work is why she is this week's 850Strong Student of the Week.
