Arnold head football coach to resign in June

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Arnold High School will have a change in leadership in at least two positions next school year.

Earlier this year, we learned Principal Britt Smith, formerly of Jinks Middle School, would take over as Arnold's principal.

Now, Coach Josh Wright, head coach of Arnold's football program, announced he will resign effective June 30th.

He has served as the head coach for six seasons.

In a statement, Coach Wright said in part, "I am humbled and honored to have been the Head Football Coach for the Marlins for the past six seasons and given my very best and maximum effort. It has been filled with many great moments and memories and I believe I accomplished many great things with many great kids, colleagues and community members."

It is unknown at this time what Coach Wright's next career move will be, but he said he has plans to stay in Bay County.
