Bay County Public Library celebrates Black History Month

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG) - In honor of Black History Month, the Bay County Public Library has put together a special display and will be hosting an event to celebrate. Jordan McCool was live with the details.

The public is also invited to African Americans and the Vote, a family program being held Tuesday, February 25 at 6 p.m. (WJHG)

Local librarians invite residents of all ages to come to your nearest library and check out the wide variety of books related to Black History Month that are currently on display.

The public is also invited to African Americans and the Vote, a family program being held Tuesday, February 25 at 6 p.m. There will also be performances by Michael Grady and the New Gulf Coast Choir. The program will be about the history of African Americans and the fight for the right to vote.
