Bay County Sheriff's Deputy graduates from FBI National Academy

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Captain David Baldwin of the Bay County Sheriff's Office graduated from the FBI National Academy on December 14th. Baldwin has served the Bay County Sheriff's Office for 26 years and is also Commander of the West District in Field Services.

The FBI National Academy strives to improve the administration of justice in police departments locally and abroad, and to improve law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide. The 11-week course was started in 1935. It is held at the FBI campus in Quantico, Virginia.

"I am grateful for the opportunity I was given to participate in this prestigious program and excited to bring back the knowledge and connections gained from this excellent training," Captain Baldwin said.

Law enforcement members are chosen to attend this academy by local officials. Captain Baldwin graduated as a member of the 274th session.
