Bay County Sheriff's Deputies seize more than a pound of crystal meth during traffic stop

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Bay County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division (SID) arrested Emily Persilver, 20, of Lynn Haven after investigators say they seized more than a pound of crystal meth during a traffic stop on July 3rd.

Investigators say Persilver was out of jail on a conditional release bond for trafficking in crystal meth.

Investigators say a drug detection canine indicated that drugs were in the car, after the search, investigators say they found over a pound of meth as well as a small amount of heroin.

According to investigators, Persilver faces a minimum mandatory life sentence because the amount of crystal meth was over 400 grams.

Persilver is being held in the Bay County Jail on trafficking more than 400 grams of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.
