Bay County Sheriff's Office holding vehicle surplus auction Saturday

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Bay County Sheriff's Office is holding a Government Vehicle Surplus Auction Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m.

Officials say the vehicles come from places such as the Bay County Sheriff's Office, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, and the City of Parker. In some cases, the vehicle may be one that was seized due to criminal activity.

The auction, which is usually held at the Bay County Sheriff's Office, will be at 3847 E. Business Highway 98 this year because the Sheriff's Office is still repairing damage sustained during Hurricane Michael.

Ruth Corley, the Public Information Officer for the Bay County Sheriff's Office, said that all forms of payment will be accepted. She also told us that all proceeds will be going toward benefiting the General Operating Cause for the Bay County Sheriff's Office.
