(MGN)

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Bay County Sheriff's Office wants you to know about a couple of scams reported in our area.

The first scam is a Publishers Clearing House scam. Deputies say the scammer or scammers will ask for personal identification information, such as bank account numbers, in order to deposit your "winnings" into your account.

The other scam is an IRS scam. Deputies say the scammer or scammers will call claiming someone has used your personal identification. They'll ask for your bank account number and/or ask for you to buy a gift card and call them back to use the gift card numbers to "pay off your taxes owed from last year."
