BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Bay County Tourist Development Council is gearing up for the summer season.
Despite Hurricane Michael, the TDC says the tourism industry is continuing to boom in Bay County. The TDC got an update on the economic impact for 2018, which they say was all positive.
Officials say as the summer months approach, they expect visitors to come to the beaches.
"We do believe that our visitors know that we are doing well and open for business and so they will be there this summer, helping to drive our economy and create jobs," President of Visit Panama City Beach Dan Rowe said.
