Bay County has more than $960 million in storm damage and counting

BAY COUNTY, Fla (WJHG/WECP) - According to the Bay County Property Appraiser, the storm damage total for Bay County so far is more than $960 million, but that number will likely increase.

Bay County Property Appraiser Dan Sowell said they are about halfway through their initial storm damage assessment.

So far they have reviewed more than 40,000 parcels with the help of neighboring property appraisers.

If you have damaged property, you are encouraged to report it through the Bay County Property Appraisers office. Sowell says they should complete the initial review in a few weeks.
