Before, during, and after Hurricane Michael, employees with Bay County served an important role in the community.

That's why Bay County commissioners wanted to take a moment at Tuesday's meeting to thank county workers with a special token of appreciation.

Each department of the Bay County government voted on a representative to receive a token from the commissioners.

While only one person from each department accepted a coin, every single person who works for Bay County will receive one as a thank you for their help during last year's difficult times.
